Methods of selection of 60 cases of 40~65years old before and after menopause symptoms are more obvious female patients, according to syndrome differentiation of TCM are: group a (deficiency of liver-Yang hyperactivity type), group b (spleen-Yang deficiency and phlegm stagnation type) for treatment. Number of students per group is 30 people. During treatment:1-6 months. <strong>Results:</strong> by comparing the symptoms before and after treatment observations in each group (including blood pressure, heart rate, symptoms and patients &#39; self-reported symptoms, etc), a set of symptoms were relieved for 27people in Group a, no obvious symptoms for 2people,and did not complete treatment for 1 person; Symptom relief in 28 people in Group b, did not complete the treatment for 2 people. <strong>Conclusions</strong>: the use of climacteric syndrome treated by acupuncture and moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese Materia Medica effect, more readily accepted by patients.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: acupuncture;traditional Chinese medicine; before and after menopause symptoms</p>
