SC-WFAS is engaged in the organization, development and promotion of WFAS standards globally. In order to meet the demands of the acupuncture and moxibustion  standards of member countries, the Standardization Working Committee of WFAS is launching the collection of the new projects of acupuncture and moxibustion standards. These new proposals will be proceeded under the organization of SC-WFAS so as to ensure the quality and safety of acupuncture in the world.

Principles

In accordance with the principles of fairness, impartiality and transparency for collection, approval and proceeding.

Application fields

Based on the previous survey, the following fields are listed in priority:

-Education of  acupuncture and moxibustion

-Technical benchmark of acupuncture and moxibustion 

-Clinical guideline on acupuncture and moxibustion 

-General Rules for Drafting and Formulation

(1)Guidelines;

(2)Technical benchmark;

(3)Safe use.

-Terminology of acupuncture and moxibustion  therapy;

-Management of acupuncture and moxibustion service;

-Clinical Practice of acupuncture and moxibustion  research.

-Acupuncture and moxibustion related instruments and equipment.

The application fields are as above but not limited to.

Application Requirements

(1)New proposal should meet the market demand;

(2)Project team should meet the following requirements;

-Research background in relevant fields for standard development;

-Adequate fund support;

-Efficient communication with the experts of the other countries.

Application Process

1.Document submission

Those who have the intentions on the application for WFAS standard, please fill up the 2024 Proposal Form of WFAS Standard Project and submit it with Draft and Panel list (See File attached) to the secretariat of SC-WFAS (scwfas@126.com) before December 31st, 2024.

All of the required documents must be in English and Chinese version.

2.Document review

All of the documents submitted will be reviewed by the Secretariat of SC- WFAS. The new proposal with the qualified documents will be proceeded to the next stage of SC-WFAS standard development.
